Home Remedies for Piles

There are some home remedies that will help you get relief from this disease naturally:

  • Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is nature's best ingredient for treating hemorrhoids. Aloe vera's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties help reduce the inflammation of hemorrhoids. Aloe vera can be used for both internal and external hemorrhoids. To treat external hemorrhoids, apply a little aloe vera gel on your anus and massage. Cut aloe vera leaves to treat internal hemorrhoids. Keep this bar in a container and keep it in the fridge. To reduce the pain and irritation of sores, burns and itching, apply cool aloe vera on the affected area.
  • Cold compress: Ice is the most important treatment. Ice heals blood vessels, reduces swelling and helps relieve pain faster. Apply some ice in a clean cloth directly to the affected area. Use it several times a day until the piles disappear.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: Due to its astringent properties, apple cider vinegar, semolina constricts the blood vessels and provides relief from the irritation and pain of both internal and external hemorrhoids. For external hemorrhoids, soak the affected area in apple cider vinegar and apply pressure with a cotton ball. It may be difficult at first but soon you will get relief from itching and irritation. For internal piles, mix a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water twice a day.
  • Witch Hazel: The anti-inflammatory properties of witch hazel help reduce hemorrhoids. Apply witch hazel gel on the affected area regularly to get rid of hemorrhoids.
  • Lemon juice: Antioxidants present in lemon help treat this condition. Apply it directly on the affected area or mix lemon juice with ginger and honey.
  • Olive Oil: Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant properties that are mainly used to treat external hemorrhoids. It helps increase the elasticity of the blood vessels, which helps reduce pain and helps reduce the size of the blood vessels in the anus.
  • Cereals: Whole grains contain a good amount of fiber, which is very effective in reducing hemorrhoids and bleeding. Foods rich in fiber help soften the stool and increase its bulk.
  • Sage Bath: Apply plain warm water to the anus two to three times a day for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Water: Increase your water intake if suffering from internal or external hemorrhoids. Try to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. Adequate amounts of water help cleanse your internal system and keep your entire body hydrated.
